This is a cream painted
kitchen with Oak pilasters and hand-carved corbels. The Cossmos Granite
work surfaces are 60mm thick made up using two layers, creating a very
attractive edge effect. The design of this
kitchen was influenced by the fact that the corners of the room were
angled at 45 degrees. We softened
this by sweeping the granite work surfaces around and creating 150mm Oak
fronted pull-put units to turn the corners. We also made a break-front
feature around the sink area.
The picture on the right shows a pair of 150mm wide
Oak fronted pull-out systems. |

On
the left we can see the chimney feature housing an extractor fan over
the cooking range. |

The floor was lit by lights mounted into the plinth.
Granite splash backs were used around the
walls and on the window sills. The island unit
was built using Pipie Oak door
frontals and cream painted Oak pilasters and
corbels.
The 80mm thick Oak work surface has radiuses extending
out over either end to allow for seating with a stool |
