DOUBLE WASTE BIN
DOUBLE WASTE BIN - Fitted on fully extending runners is available with several different bin sizes. These are also available with up to five different compartments for recycling.
DEEP DRAWERS
DEEP DRAWERS - Here you can see a pair of drawers opened up, showing the dividing rails available for solid base drawers at the bottom. There is a chrome basket drawer in the centre which is preferred for pans, etc.
LIGHTING
LIGHTING - We are now a lot more aware of the importance of good lighting for work areas. This shows a solid Oak wall mounted pelmet with cornice moulding run along the top and is not only a nice feature, but also introduces a light source so the cook is not standing in their own light.
MOVING ISLAND UNIT
MOVING ISLAND UNIT - This island unit has been mounted on four very heavy duty castors, which have been attached to a hidden steel frame supporting the carcases. This allows the cook to have a portable presentation area which can be stood next to the sink area for preparation work, then moved to the centre of the kitchen as a traditional Island Unit.
LARDER UNITS
LARDER UNITS - These units are fully extending and are fitted with chrome baskets.
BESPOKE BUILT
BESPOKE BUILT - We are not restricted by non-standard sizes. We can build carcasses to any width, depth or height within reason. Here we show a 150mm wide pull-out towel rail and chrome olive oil bottle shelf so no space has been wasted. Also shown is a 100mm deep base unit for the front of the chimney breast, perfect for spices, etc.
RANGE COOKERS
RANGE COOKERS - These are very popular and create a nice focal point. There are a wide selection of makes offering many sizes and different cooking features. This Aga was recessed into a newly built brick chimney breast which provides an enhanced feature. We were able to build extra deep base units allowing us to set the pilasters in front of the cooker. The wall units were also made deeper to gain storage and allowed us to hide the microwave behind a lift-up door in the corner of the kitchen.
OFFICE FURNITURE
OFFICE FURNITURE - Here is a solid Oak filing cabinet with six fully extending file drawers in the lower section. The box file storage above has spindle doors as a feature. The sides have been finished with cushioned oak panelling, finished-off on the corners with hand-turned pilasters.
SPECIAL UNITS
SPECIAL UNITS - This shows how we are not restricted in what we can build. This triangular base unit was built at a very tight angle, to leave as much access as possible for our client when using the corner base units. It has also given the kitchen a softer feel.
LOWERED HOB
LOWERED HOB - The customer wanted the Hob to be lower than standard work surface height to make it easier to see in the pans. We stepped the top down in line with the drawer bases and matched the open display to the one above the extractor fan. By breaking up the run of work surface, we were able to change to a granite work surface to the right of the hob and increase the depth. This cook makes wedding cakes and required a large cold surface for rolling out icing.
LINKING ROOMS
LINKING ROOMS - This corner base unit was fitted into the dining room area of a project where we had installed a Pippy Oak kitchen. By using the same style of door and granite surface we were able to link two rooms and gain more storage for the client.
HIDDEN MICROWAVE
HIDDEN MICROWAVE - We have used this system of storing a microwave out of sight in this way where it is stored at work surface height, and in a tall larder unit. The option shown is also useful for storing heavy appliances such as food mixers, allowing the cook to simply slide the mixer out when required, rather than having to lift it out of the base unit.
PLATE DISPLAYS
PLATE DISPLAYS - This customer asked if we could box the space between the wall units and the ceiling in to create a display shelf for plates. We achieved this using matching Oak with a small cornice moulding along the ceiling and turning small pilasters as corner mouldings to match the rest of the kitchen.
